PFLP salutes Venezuelan people, denounces occupation expulsion of ambassador to Ramallah

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine condemned the Israeli occupation for expelling the Ambassador of the Republic of Venezuela to the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah on January 27, 2009.

The PFLP statement noted that this makes clear that the PA has no sovereignty or authority in its own land against the occupier, and that this is yet one more provocation and aggression against our people, reflecting the arrogance and conceit of the occupation, even as the people of the world demand trials and prosecutions for the war crimes committed by the Israeli occupier in Gaza.

The PFLP statement further paid tribute to the people of Venezuela and its president, Hugo Chavez, and to the Ambassador of Venezuela, saluting their strong stand in solidarity with the Palestinian cause and as a bulwark against U.S. imperialism, noting that the friendship of the Venezuelan and Palestinian people will only increase and strengthen in the face of the occupier.
